Description

The listing, Civil War-era bullet has ended.

This is an old bullet that I believe dates back to the Civil War period. Instead of three grooves it has three raised ridges.

I really try to do some research to give traders a pretty good idea of what they are getting. This is a piece of American history. The American Civil War (1861–1865), also known as the War Between the States, was the deadliest war in American history, resulting in the deaths of 620,000 soldiers and an undetermined number of civilian casualties. If you have kids or grandkids interested in history or archeology, this will interest them. I believe this is a Sharps bullet varying from 52 to 54 cal. I think this is called a "Ringtail."
