Each one uses 2 AG3 batteries
I put in fresh batteries and tested them for functionality as these are new unused old stock and the batteries that were in them were dead.

Do they include the new batteries you tested them with or do they come without batteries?

Yes they come with fresh batteries and I have put an insulator between the batteries so the don't turn on are run down while being shipped; All will be working and good to go out of the package after opening them and removing the insulator
