Description

The listing, GIN! Open Pollinated Cherry Seeds has ended.

My semi dwarf Rainier cherry tree produces an abundant crop of yummy cherries good for drying, preserving, pies, or even eating fresh. Its most likely copollinator is a zone 4 hardy variety my neighbors only know is a genetic dwarf. As Christmas and the ideal time to begin cold stratification is just around the corner, I'm offering ten seeds for the minimum GIN bid.

Pollinated, yes. Germinated, not yet. These have to be cold stratified first.

Keep the seeds refrigerated in some moist sand or peat moss. Check on them every couple of weeks. It could take a month to three months, but when the seeds crack, they're ready to be planted.

I've been able to manage with two dogs, three cats, and occasionally myself chasing birds out of my trees. I have been able to ensure a better harvest by also planting more fruit trees- more trees, more fruit, and more chance that I'll get a couple of bushels.
