So you are saying this is a replica Morgan silver dollar?

Well I would much rather say it is fake then say it is real and it turns out to be fake. I would not want anyone to feel cheated---one pawn broker said it was real but, I certainly don't want any hard feelings or 2 many credits spent if the coin turns out to be a copy. Making money or making credits is not worth causing someone to feel cheated. Jim

Does a magnet stick to this coin?

So what year is it? It looks like if you took the 2 screw in the back out the the mount on the front would lift off and release the coin. Does a magnet stick to the coin?

I am at an assisted living place at the present time. Mother-in-law 94 and ill. When I get back to Conway I will take a screwdriver and see if I can find a year. I think Morgan's go from 1878 to 1921. Could be something newer than 1921 I guess? CC stands for Carson City not sure if that makes it worth more or not. Jim

The reason I ask about the magnet sticking to it is that there is one on Ebay with a similar belt buckle mounted coin ( same screws on back) and that auction which is for a CC Morgan clearly states it is a replica coin and that a magnet sticks to it. If it is a genuine CC Morgan then yes it would be worth more then Morgans for other Mints and also upon the year it was minted.
