It ranges from Small to Large. I am going to say it could be used for either depending on the colors that you chose to use. The picture on the pattern shows a females feet, but that is normal.

I am still confused. Hard pattern makes me think you sew the slippers from fabric. Is it that, or is it crochet or knit?? Thanks.

It is a crochet pattern using 1 Skein of yarn and using the I-9 hook. It is a Beginner Pattern. They can be made for either male or female depending on the colors that you chose. It would be a choice that the maker would come up with when doing the patter. It is 21 Rows long...if you leave the flower off, and if making it for a guy I wouldn't include the flower for the top.
