Thank you very much. Being widescreen is a big deal for me. I have over 600 DVDs and they are all widescreen. Only way to watch a movie. Full screen cuts out part of the picture, and I don't like that. It is called "pan and scan" and they choose the two thirds that they think is important and lose the rest. Sometimes "the rest" is important. I prefer to see the "whole" picture. Joined the bidding process. Thanks again. Jim

You are very welcome. I like almost anything, as long as it is widescreen. That is my number one criterion. Action movies the most. For me, not the kids movies. Keep posting and I'll keep bidding. I like reading very much, but I have a deal on paperback books. The VA (Veterans Administration) hospital has a few racks of paperback books to take for free. I always stop and pick up new books. It is my number one reason for keeping my doctors appointments. Thank you. Jim

Hang tight. In this particular DVD you have one bid, mine, which is 100. It will remain that way until another higher bid comes in. Don't be alarmed. It is not unusual for no other bids to come in until it is under 24 hours. That is the way this site continues to function. Interest is not there for anyone to bid more, except for me. I like looking out and asking questions, if I have some, as early as possible. In many cases I ask for days in a row before I get a response, or in some cases they never answer. I am trying to change that by asking early and often (not more than once a day) and then living with what I get back. It is sometimes discouraging, but I keep on asking. I only key on those sellers who are willing to pay for shipping. I think if you watch closely you will notice that they move faster than those who do not offer free shipping. Many DVDs wind up with no bids and are carried over (relisted) or they fall off the auction. I don't think any free shipping ever fall off. Sometimes the bids are lower than what you had hoped for, but at least they sold. Hope this clarifies some issues and feel free to ask me more question as they arise. I enjoy helping out the new people. The rules to Listia are numerous and change often, so it is hard to keep up. Ask if you are having problems. I'm here. Jim

Something you need to pay attention to is on the page that comes up when you click on Listia.com. That page has info on your listings and on the listings you have bid on. On the left hand side is a column of items that ends with badges you can earn. 2 item up is Credits, and an item under that is Credit Activity. Click on Credit Activity and you will be amazed at what your credits are doing. The last listing on that page is a history about what you have bought and sold. I think the page starts out with your recent credits earned. You will be amazed. You can earn credit from Listia for adding listings, adding free shipping, comments, bidding, checking in, giving positive ratings, and some things that I am probably forgetting, but it is a wealth of info that you probably never realized. I check it at least daily to see if anything has happened. Of course you get credits for items that have been purchased, but more than half of your credits come from other actions you take. Follow it and you will learn a lot. Jim

I try, but I would never say I know a lot about Listia. I think I learn something new almost every day. For example, never ship media mail to Alaska or Hawaii. I had a VHS sent to Hawaii, returned to me after 4 months. It took 2 months to build the box full enough to ship via a boat (they use the cheapest method possible), another 15 days to attempt to deliver it, and a month and a half to return it to me via another boat. And guess what, I had to pay for the return postage. Media mail does not include returning the mail if it is not accepted. 4 months and I had to pay for the return shipment. When you compare media mail versus first class, first class often comes out cheaper. So, I never ship using media mail. It doesn't include features that you count on. So I swore off. I learned via an unfortunate experience. I notified Listia and suggested they include that info in their material. Don't think it has happened yet, but I look forward to them changing their instructions. Live and learn. I try to pass it on to others so it doesn't effect them. Jim
