Japanese iris is like the large purple iris but much smaller the 1st picture shows an actual flower from the spring off my plants 2ft tall at most the 2nd picture is my over grown clump 4x5ft I'm separating now the last 2 pictures are examples of the tubers you will receive you will receive 8

You can still plant it now if your ground is not frozen (like here zone 8) or keep them dry till spring but you won't get any flowers till next year. You can do them in pits to for quicker growth but im not sure how
