First let me explain that ALL peppers start out green when young, that is unless they are a purple or black variety. They ALL ripen to a final color of yellow, orange, or red. Even purple or black varieties turn red when ripe. Green Pepper is a culinary term for an immature pepper used for cooking or fresh eating. They are picked early to stimulate the plants to produce more. That is why they are less expensive at the grocery store. Jalapeno and Serrano peppers turn red when ripe. Banana and Wax peppers turn from green to yellow, to orange, to red when ripe. Bell peppers turn from green to yellow, orange, or red. Of all the thousands of peppers that are available, only 2 in history have ever been produced that were green when ripe and mature.

If you are bidding on green pepper seeds, you are bidding on immature seeds that are not likely to produce plants. Don’t get scammed by those auctions. Experienced gardeners will offer viable seeds. Scam artists will offer immature seeds from grocery store produce. The choice is yours.

You will receive 10 pepper seeds harvested from my personal organically grown garden. They will be ripe when harvested and correctly dried. They will be a mystery variety. They could be any variety of sweet or hot pepper. I won’t send any pepper hotter than a Cayenne. You will know the variety when it arrives. It will be labeled for your convenience.
