Vintage Canadian Postcard, Martin's Since 1861, Montreal. Canada. The address for this establishment was 980 St. Antoine, which is now listed as several other businesses (none of which are Martin's).

Older man smoking pipe, reading newspaper is the picture. Odd thing about this postcard is that if you turn the card on its side, there is the face of a little girl or young woman on the top of his head.

There may be a more obscure face in the cuff of his jacket, and perhaps in his sleeve also, but if so, they are not as clear.

This card looks grainy on my scan, but it is not. I have had this card for at least 20 years, but have not been able to absolutely date it. Have only seen two others, and they were unused and had the business listed as the Carlton Hotel.
