Description
The listing, Vintage Garnet ? Red Emerald Cut Silver Mystery Ring sz. 7 has ended.
Mystery Ring. sz. 7 EXC. condition. I'm embarrassed to say, I've had this ring for so long that I don't remember what it is. Yes, there is something written inside but I can't read it. I don't think you'll be able to either. The stone is very dark red and looks like a garnet. I can't say for sure one way or the other.
Questions & Comments
I hope everyone reads this. answer to Robin Montgomery963. (IFound It) It just now DID stick to a magnet. It's clearly plated w/something. I don't know what. Also, it's a little bit loose on my middle finger, so, it might be a sz. 7.5. There will be a couple of options for whoever gets this so those of you who have bid on it, don't worry, be happy. Seriously, everything will work out fine.
Can u take a magnet to it and see if there is any draw to the magnet please. If it draws to the magnet it is not silver only plate or alloy. I'm allergic is why I ask. Love the look. Merry Christmas :) Watching
I don't know if it's sterling silver. Silver is the color of the setting. I brought it to work to check it out w/a magnet but have now misplaced it. I don't think it would be a very useful test however because pot metal, brass, aluminum, copper and most stainless steel alloys don't attract magnets and all of these metals are found in jewelry. I'm hunting for that ring now and will try the magnet test. Will post results asap. Thanks & sorry for the lack of pertinent information. Happy Holidays
