The listing, 1973 NATIONAL JAMBOREE BOLO TIE w/PEWTER COIN/MEDALLION BRAIDED LEATHER STRINGS w/METAL TIPS has ended.
**** HERE'S A GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR A COLLECTOR OF BOY SCOUT ITEMS! !****
This Scout BoloTie is still sealed in it's plastic bag from the 1973 National Jamboree. The pewter coin is uniquely clipped into a silver-colored metal holder that also has the clips to hold the braided leather strings. The front of the 1 1/2" diameter coin is stamped with the symbol for this Jamboree and the words "1973 National Scout Jamboree", The back of the coin has the words "National Jamboree Farragut, ID Moraine, PA" encircling outlines of Alaska, Hawaii, the lower 48 states and Puerto Rico and the words "Growing Together" plus the words "Alaska, Hawaii & P.R." The entire medallion is 2" in diameter. In new condition and obviously never worn.
The strings are black, braided leather with 1 1/2" long silver-colored, coiled metal wire ends. Their approx. length is 36" as best I could measure without taking it out of the bag.
The photos do not do this beautifully well made commemorative medallion justice, but they are the best I could do through the plastic bag. (and with my hands that shake!)
