The listing, CIVIL WAR ERA FORKS has ended.

These are two civil war era forks. I did some research to find what they were. Found the exact same thing and that's how it was listed. They have not been cleaned to preserve original condition. Would be a nice addition to anyones collection.

Questions & Comments

The viking- era people ate meat roasted over a fire on a spit. they used their knives and an"onk" to stick the hot meat and cut off a piece. to keep the meat from twisting, some blacksmith made a two pronged tool called a "twook". I think an old pre-victorian term for what you have here is a"threek", leading to the modern marvel, the FORK! An old story I thought you would like.
