Yep SATA is the way to go. It is a much faster interface and easier to hook up. Plus you can buy day glow, glow in the dark, flourescent and lighted SATA cables for really cheap. IDE ribbons and as cool looking. LOL

It is the cable interface for connecting with the PC - they are usually SATA (I, II) or IDE (ATA100, ATA133, etc.) The older devices are IDE, the newer is SATA - faster, better, more reliable. You can easily recognize it. :)
