This auction is for a Vintage, Hand Carved Wooden Box that is ornately carved with floral and leaf/vine accents on top and all 4 sides. This is a gorgeous decorative piece and could be used for jewelry,office/desk, library or even as a humidor. Condition is very good for its age with expected wear including scuffs and scratches. It measures approx 10.5" 8.5" x 3.5". There is a small horizontal crack across the bottom but it does not affect the box in any way other than cosmetically.

It weighs 5lbs so YOU can figure out the shipping cost if you're interested. Shipped from 12543

And when my credits come in I will definitely bid. It is too beautiful to pass, even if I get outbid lol. My entire family loves antiques and I was taught very young how to see quality. And as far as I'm concerned, age "damage" is like scars. It shows character and and always has a story.
For the winner, would it be possible for you to send the story of the estate sale and any details you might know about it?

I know very little of the prior owner aside from her travels to Southeast Asia. She was affiliated with some religion and was a missionary that helped others. The only reason why I know this is because I asked the auctioneer about the vast collection this woman had. I would have bought many more items but the bidding got too high for me on some lots

You have a good eye! The box belonged to a woman that traveled extensively to Southeast Asia. She passed away and I attended her estate sale and this box was in a lot that I purchased. It's not my kind of decor or I would have kept it
