The listing, vintage sterling black stone roman soldier ring has ended.

Very nice ring depicting a Roman or Trojan soldier. Unsure of the stone but the vintage tag says sterling with jet. Size is about 6 .75. Hallmark " STERLING" and maker's mark what appears to be a diamond shape with a V.

It looks like on the side of the front of the ring there is something there that don"t look right can you tell me what that is

It probably the lighting/reflections. No this is not the "perfect ring" for you. Please don't bid and move on. Let someone else appreciate the uniqueness/own characteristics of this one of a kind ring.

Very nice, I believe it is called a "intaglio ring"? Very popular in the early to mid 1900's. Great find!

I think the "V" in the diamond shape is the Vargas hallmark, circa about 1940 or so, maybe someone else will know for sure.

It is vintage/antique so it won't be in perfect condition. I'm looking under the loupe right now. There are some scuff marks/scratches and a few pin size dings/chips on the black stone that you can't see with your naked eyes.
