Beautiful 83.5% silver 2 franc coin from Switzerland. Almost 51 years old. Amazing detail in Helvetia and the wreath as you can see in the magnified photos.

In the "Krause" coin catalog, 2009 edition, it is listed on page 1,968, as catalog number KM21. coin wt is 10 grams, silver weight is 0.2687 oz (these particular coins (ie: the silver ones) were issued from 1901 to 1967 (starting in 1968, copper-nickel coins were introduced).

There was only 4.5 million of these minted in 1964 and I'm sure many have been melted for their silver content.
