Do you know that either take battery vs wind up? Do they say quartz or jewels?

I really don't know for sure. Neither of them say quartz or jewels. The Lady Elgin has a 23 under the name. And at the bottom, right above the 6 is a circle with a line straight up thru middle of the circle. On the back in very small print I believe it says 10kt gold filled. The other has a 17 under Elgin and on the back it says 10k RGP Bezel And has a circle with a 1 and a d in it . I really don't know a lot about watches . The faces on these are so small. The way the back fits on is different than the newer ones that have batteries. I'm sorry I can't be of more help to you. Thanks for your interest.
