Don't have original box. But I only used it a few times. You have to have a hair dryer to attach it to. Got my hair cut off & now can't use it. But it Does make beautiful spiral like curls in long hair. *Comes wth instructions.

Well before I got my hair cut I loved it. Uh In My opinion your hair should be wet (towel dried) & I always used some kind of styling product on the strand of hair before using. Sooo there's my opinion & like I said the instructions come wth it & it has Styling Tips on it also.

Will it work on just a little longer than shoulder length hair?

I'm not sure. But I would honestly recommend longer hair.
