No...an actual service alert dog. He developed a rare form of epilepsy 2 days after his 6 month vaccinations and then had a stroke and developed cerebral palsy. He is a miracle and my hero. He's overcome so much. Doctors said he'd be mentally retarded for the rest of his life, never be able to walk...but he is the brightest, most loving, walking child I ever met!!! This dog will drastically change our family's life and possibly save his. His last sleep study showed over 90 apneas, periods where he stopped breathing, yet they say there is no apnea monitor that's appropriate for children over 6 months!!! It so infuriating. But then I met a woman who also had sleep apnea that had a service dog that would wake her if she stopped breathing! The relief to know that there is a solution is indescribable! For the past year my husband has slept on the couch while I cosleep with my son with my hand on his chest. I get so little sleep because I'm so scared he will have an episode while I'm sleeping and we will lose him. So I'm trying to raise money any way possible. The dogs and the extensive training they need put you well into the 20,000-30,000 range. I figure if we can get some of our essentials on this site the $ we save can go into his fund.
