Description

The listing, Turquoise Foil Beads Necklace with Vintage Retired Swarovski Crystals has ended.

23 INCHES LONG : This is an experiment with some more beads I won on here. I wrapped the crystals in copper wire and used sterling silver wire to connect them to the segments of the necklace. I think the bright colors compliment the copper very well. The shiny crystal is an unexpected surprise. These are vintage Swarovski crystals, no longer available, they are handmade in Austria, very expensive and beautiful crystals.

Let me know if you like it. My husband, Arbon, made another necklace with these turquoise beads so vote on which one of the two you like the best this week. Give me bragging rights this week and bid high! :)

Free Shipping.

Please check out all my auctions for great Pokemon cards, misc. beads, and more handmade jewelry from me and my hubby. Thanks for looking.

Love it ... in your description you might want to focus more on the fact that those crystals are Swarovski vintage butterflies ... i.e. no longer available. And, being Swarovski they will really sparkle a lot more than it's really possible to show in a photo.

I think in the photo, the butterflies aren't really in focus. You might try adding a photo closeup on the butterflies, with the light shining in from the side ... or experiment with positioning your light so it captures the faceted edges and prismatic effect of the crystal (have fun LOL).

I think the wire wrapping works well on the butterflies, though. Love the copper ...

Y'know, they sell a three-pack of metallic stringing wire on overstock.com, I think two choices. It's for beading but I wonder if you also could use it for wire wrapping, and might be cheaper than regular wire.

hmm. I probably could. I have tons of copper wire right now. Its a little too thin for me to use for beading but it works ok for wrapping. I need to use it up first.

Oh, and the new photos look GREAT! You've really got the knack!

Y'know, I just sold a pair of figurines I had on Bonanzle for a long time (also had them on Etsy). Both of those sites are REALLY cheap to list stuff. Jewelry is always a tough sell because it's so competitive, but you might want to list some things on those two sites (Etsy is 20 cents per item, listing lasts for four months) and see how they go. I can't remember the Bonanzle fees, it might even be free and you just pay when you sell things. Your stuff is so nice ... perhaps with free shipping you'll sell a few. Be sure to take Paypal, and any money that comes in you can use for the shipping (although I found Paypal First Class is more expensive than the normal usps rates, by using stamps), and you can transfer directly back into a bank account at no charge. I love paypal for that!

Okay, I like this one much better, because it's much more elaborate and blingy. I think people who like an earthier feel will like the other one more! I think you need to get some silver plated round beads, try overstock.com, they don't have a lot of beads but I think they have some basic ones like that. Don't bother with sterling beads, it doesn't look any different and costs a lot more. Some of the cheaper plated beads have visible seams in them, but in small beads it's almost impossible to tell.

Y'know what, I have a TON of silver beads. I'll take some photos today, and if you want any, if you can send me $1 for each lot that you want via Paypal I'll send them to you with your wins. Give me a few hours (possibly tomorrow) to get some photos to you. I also have a TON of gold, and will photograph some $1 lots of those too. Gold will be back in style like tomorrow, I think ...

yeah, I looked at what you put up. Thanks. I would like some of them. I am in to silver right now. I know I used to be in love with gold, but oh well. I will stick with silver.
