Commonly called Queen Ann's Pocket melon, but called by many names. In the American South know as Plum granny. Other names include Dudaim Melon, Apple Melon, Vine Pomegranate, or Wild Muskmelon. Cucumis melo var. dudaim. Plants grow like cucumbers but are very drought tolerant. Victorian ladies kept them in their apron pockets for their sweet lemon smell. Smell is like a cross between a watermelon and a cucumber.
