Hi everyone, Happy New Year. I have here a genuine
pair of geisha girl (thongs) shoes. My Grandfather got
these when he was in Japan during the ocupation, just
after WW11. He sent these home to my grandmother
as a souvinier. I wore them a few times when I was with my grandmother. It was our secret. They are in a black
lacquered finish with red & green cloth thong straps.
The coolest thing is .........they have bells in the heals.
I thought when I was 6 and up that I was so cool when
I wore them, and very dissapointed when I grew out of them a few years later. Japanese women are very
tiny. I always thought they were girls shoes, untill I met
a few japanese ladies and then I would understand
about the shoes. I would imagine the bells would
jingle and I would pretend to be a Geisha. I had so
