Nice coin! I believe what you have here is a 1993 1 Silver Franc, 50 Year Commemorative of D-Day landing at Normandy. I think it is 90% Silver (.6423 oz).

It is a commemorative of the storming of normandy but I think it is silver.It's a beautiful coin and I think it's pretty are but im not sure on that. I'm gonna bid on it just because it's unusual and beautifully made.

the more I look up about this coin, the more I am tempted to believe that you purposely did not write any description about it. what is the wording on the reverse, bottom of the beach scene?

I found this coin finally after changing the date to be 1993 (I saw 1998, see how a description would be nice?) and it is silver (.900). I could go on quite a bit more, but then I would be doing your job putting in the description. I will say that if you did, it would bring much more than it currently is. Numista dot com is your best bet, but they are a coin trading site and do not give you a what it is worth price, just the ability to trade with others.
