I am selling this for a friend who bought it from a coin dealer. This Canadian Large Cent was removed from the special anniversary set issued in 1998 to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Ottawa mint. There were only 50,000 of these sets minted. For the first time ever, the name of the country appears nowhere on the coin. Minted in 1998, the coin has a double date 1908-1998. Although this is a proof coin, it has a matte finish, which gives it an antique look although the coin has never been circulated. If you are a Canadian large cent collector this rare coin would be a great addition to your collection. The coin dos have a few discoloration marks, please examine photos carefully.
