Description

The listing, 10 Yellow 4 o'clock Seeds - Hummingbirds & Hot Weather! has ended.

You will receive 10 Yellow Four O'Clock Seeds;
(Mirabilis Jalapa Yellow)

HUMMINGBIRDS LOVE IT!!!
AND IT LOVES THE SUN!!!

From the internet:
Leafy, SHRUB-LIKE, multi-branched tender perennials that typically grow 18 - 36 inches tall and just as wide.
MY LARGEST (in 2nd & 3rd PICTURE) IS 6 FT Tall x 4 FT Wide! (Watered 2x a week)

YELLOW FLOWERS are fragrant and to some the fragrance IS LIKE HONEYSUCKLE. Trumpet-shaped; are about 1" across and about 2" long. Sunny days, the flowers open in the late afternoon and wilt the next morning. If cloudy, the flowers may be open all day long!

Seeds may be sown directly into the garden in the spring in warm areas. In other areas with a late spring, start the seeds indoors about 8 weeks before the final frost date for transplanting. Seedlings may be set in the garden at about the same time you would plant tomatoes. Allow about 12" each plant. Mirabilis roots are tuberous and can be divided in early spring. Some gardeners will store the tubers indoors over the winter and then plant again in the spring.

Perennial ; USDA Zones: 8 - 10
Height: 18 - 36 inches ; Bloom: Spring & Summer ;
Full sun to partial shade ; Well-drained soil,
pH 6.2 - 7.2 ; Deer Resistant

To me they smell like honeysuckle. The scent reminds me of my grandmother's house and childhood memories ;)

lol, 2 grown-ups to 8 kids! ;) Also have several hummingbirds & bees! Flowers seem to do just fine in this 100 degree (index 111) heat. We are on water conservation here, cannot water 2x a week as before... no rain in over 30 days, yet they are blooming am & pm :))
