Catnip needs little explanation as it is the easy to grow herb that drives cats wild. Give it to them fresh or dry it for toys anyway you go about it you are going to drive your cat wild! So easy to grow it is almost like a weed. Never pay the high prices in the pet store when you can grow your own!

Catnip tea is said to be calming and relaxing for frayed nerves.

Start indoors, planting seeds ¼" deep in a lightly moist, sterile potting mix keeping the temp. above 70°. When seedlings are about 4" tall, harden off for the garden. In the late spring after all fear of frost is gone, space plants 12-18" in the garden.
