Each GemSprout is approximately 1.5" tall and comes with a keychain cord and detailed instructions on how to care for your tiny new friend. The Clear eco-dome is made of recycled plastic, and contains a REAL living plant. Each GemSprout is locally planted and grown in Central Florida, with no harmful chemicals or pesticides and are not shipped from overseas. All orders come in a gift box, perfect for gift giving!

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR PLANT
°ºº°¨¨¨¨¨¨°ºº°¨¨¨¨¨¨°ºº°¨¨¨¨¨¨°ºº°¨¨¨¨¨¨°ºº
GemSprouts are almost completely maintenance free. Like all plants they require earth, sun, and water. Each is planted in a special nutrient rich soil pad that promotes water absorption and strong stems. Once a month simply place your GemSprout in a shallow dish of water for 2 - 3 minutes. For cacti, water only every 12 weeks. Keep your tiny friend happy with a few hours of sunlight each day and like all plants, your GemSprout will continue to grow! Once you notice your plant is outgrowing the capsule, normally between 6 months and a year - simply replant your GemSprout in a larger container, or out in the garden.

I love this whole concept and Idea! I live in Canada and I understand about the whole customs thing, while I also have alot of experience sending and reciving plants with the U.S.. Many companies and indivduals do this all the time with never an issue. It really depends on the type of plant and where you are sending to and their rules there.

Would you send the super neat "eco dome" without the plant to Canada? The price of shipping for something this size would be close to the same for first Class standard. I would bid just for the container. I would even be interested in buying it if I was unable to win.

Could I open it up and put my own tiny plant inside? Could someone do this after the plant out grows it's tiny container? :)

If you won, I would be more than happy to send you the container with a soil pad. Once the plants out grow them, you can gently remove the little ring at the bottom that holds them in place, and I put new plant or start a seed.
