i really think i was born in the wrong era well atleast for clothing lol so i really want to try making my own vintage looking clothing now i just need a patter for Bellbottoms <3

haha me too. i used to wear nothing but bellbottoms and peasant tops. :) now i only wear long skirts... which can be equally hard to find.

Lol its so funny lol I tear up thrift shops looking for bellbottoms from back in the day No luck in my town :( I don't know how to sew lol but going to learn since I can't find the cloths i like lol

i know exactly what you mean. i learned to sew for the same reason. if you can learn the proper way to use your machine and how to sew a straight line, you're golden. lots of machines come with instructional cds now. youtube is awesome, too, if you don't have anyone that can teach you.

My DH bought me this tiny machine has one stitch and no reverse but i have been practicing the straight stich on a piece of scrap fabric that came with it. lol Yea we had to look up how to thread the bobbin on youtube today lol. but he said if I can learn on this tiny one he will get us a better on :) so i will be practicing on making the kids stuff

That's great :) There are some decent full-sized machines for pretty cheap, too. Brother and Singer usually hold up the best. And for all the money you'll be saving doing your own sewing and alterations, maybe your hubby will surprise you with an upgrade!
