Seller, your in dreamworld if you think someone is going to trade you a new HTC EVO 4g smartphone, which is retailing on the low end for $300, and the higher end for $400, for this old Nextel phone. This is a cool phone for work cause its rugged, but its not that cool. Be realistic. How are you in "desperate need" of one of the newest top of the line smartphones on the market today? You sure you just dont want it really bad, lol? I want it too so i can relate. Unfortunately i just cant afford it.

Then you honestly shouldnt be on listia if your not willing to let items go for whatever the highest bid is. There is no reserves on Listia, this is how it works, take it or leave it. BUT, I can give you some free advice. Most of the bidding takes place in the last minute, so dont be discouraged because it only has 1 bid on it right now, theres plenty of time left. But if it ends with a winner, and weather its 1 credit or 1,000 credits, if you dont ship out the item and the winner files a complaint, you will only get away with that a few times and your account will be suspended. Now, your auctions will also do better the more verifications you get, the important one for new sellers is the bank/paypal verification. It only takes a few minutes, and no one sees your person info except for Listia. Its highly recommended if you want to do well as a new selller. Also, answer questions that are asked daily. You dont have to answer right away, but sign on once a day so people know your serious and your alive. Also, and this is a big one, give more details in your description. You didnt even state the phones Model number, the most important piece of information you could give. You didnt say whats included, like chargers, battery, a holster or case, manuals, etc etc. Also, when you stated that you want to trade this OLD Nextel phone, for a HTC Evo 4g, one of the newest, most expensive phones on the market right now, just made you sound either crazy, or not serious. Either way, you should leave that type of thing out from now on, as this goes to the highest bidder, not up for trades.

You want Craigslist if your going to trade, not Listia. You have to be realistic, this is an old phone, and its not valued that high at all. You can get this on ebay for $20. And one last final thing, on your first auction, because you dont have any feedback yet and theres alot of 0 feedback scammers here, you should do free shipping. It will only cost you $3 first class, or USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate box for $5. It will also show that your not 14 years old and just posting a fake auction. It will be hard to find people to give you money for shipping, unless you do the things i have mentioned. Just trying to help out a new member, not give you a hard time. If you are letting the auction run, you should state so now, im sure some people want to bid. I MIGHT, but i need to know that you will ship the phone no matter what the ending credit amount is...

great information for this new seller..i just wanted to add that whoever wins this and if the seller doesnt go through with the shipping it takes FOREVER file a dispute to get your credits back...
I wish the seller would respond to the comments and let us know..i may consider bidding..my dad really needs a phone..if not i will buy one from ebay for $20
