Description: Catnip was first grown in America in the late 1700s. Euphoric effect for cats and makes a tasty herbal tea for humans used for insomnia. Bushy plants spread 2-3' when mature. Catnip is very drought-tolerant once plants are established.
Planting: Sow Catnip seeds indoors just beneath surface of soil. Transplant outdoors 12-18" apart in early spring just before last frost. For maximum flavor and aroma, plant in a dry, sandy, sunny area; however, catnip will tolerate most soils and partial shade

F&W and nice of you to do. I basically done the same. had a stray to wonder up, and i took her in, her name is patches, but she's not a kitten and wasnt a kitten when she wondered up. I like hearing that people rescue or take in animals.

I have 6 rescue dogs who are all couch potatoes and 14 rescue cats and a boatload of rescue farm animals. I have rescued animals all my life. I hate that so many die in shelters and on the street.

Yes, and a lot of work, but I love all of them and they love me back. LOL One funny incident, my miniature donkey bit me on my butt when I bent over to do something. I jumped up and turned around and he was looking all around like it wasn't me, I didn't do anything. Made me laugh. He is so comical.
