The 1917 walking liberty silver half dollar is only the second year minted. In 1917 there were (2) types of "S" minted. The OBVERSE "S" had only 952,000 minted and then in the same year they switched the "S" to the other side of the coin. The other side had 5,554,000 minted and the obverse had only 952,000 minted.

This is not the semi-key date for the Liberty Walker coin.It is the 1921 with only 246,000 minted.The key date Walker is the 1921 D with only 208,000 minted.Just for information and nothing adverse.

The walking liberty minted 66 different coins. According to book value there are only 7 out of the 66 ranked a higher value.

This leaves 60 different coins at a lower book value.

Semi~key date may be subjective?
