put it in the thickest part of yhe turkey will start to start coming out at 178 degrees and at 185 will completely extened carefully pull out by base when turkey is still hot will extract when cool

Place timer in thickest part of turkey cook as usual timer will slide out as it reaches 16 7 degrees will be fully extended when core reaches 18 degrees carefully remove from hot turkey from base of timer will retract when cools
