Description

The listing, Vintage Brass Tai Budda Late 1960's has ended.

This item is used, missing the gem from the forehead but that can easily be replaced. 1 1/4" x 3/4" (I remember a red gem) The story on this is my father was stationed in Thailand in the late 60's when he came home he brought this lucky necklace with a plastic encased golden Budda. As long as you wore it you were protected you from whatever it was protecting you from, he forgot what this one protected him from. I had it many years then my stupid ex husband stole the necklace and opened the plastic case to sell the "golden Budda" at a pawn shop. Lo and behold the Budda wasn't pure gold and he was actually mad at me because of this. Idiot. I've kept it many years and feel that it is time to pass it along, it protected me from the a-hole ex and he's been gone quite a while.

To further what it is made of, when it was encased in it's protective cover it must of had a gold wash on it because it really looked like real gold and that's what my Dad was told (by a street vender I'm sure ;) ) I wasn't at the pawn shop when my ex tried to sale it but it wasn't gold. To me it looks and feels just like all my other Brass collectibles. Hope that helps.
