Hi all... Up for auction is a very rare and unique piece of history, especially as far as hospitals go. It has been in my family for many many years but now I guess it is time to let it go. After much research between looking at the autographs and reading a whole bunch of them it is obvious that this is an autograph book that was owned by a medical school student who asked his classmates that graduated from Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital for their signatures when they all graduated together in the class of 1884. The hospital was closed down in 1922. As you can see from one of the photographs there is a stamp from one of the signature pages that shows the year in something other than ink written from a pen ...... Which obviously shows its authenticity. But anybody who knows antiques can tell just by the look of this book that it is very old. Also in one of the photographs I tried to show the best as the photo would pick up on how the edge of the pages are gold. I don't know if it is like a gold paint or what but it looks very cool. Since the book is so old it obviously has a few pages that are not intact. On a whole the book is very old but in pretty good condition the majority of pages do not come out of the autograph book but there are some that are not stuck to the original binding. This is definitely A brilliant piece to anyone's antique collection especially somebody with a medical background. I was originally going to put it on one of the other auction websites, lol, but then decided to just pass it on. I will ship for free anywhere in the United States.
