Two solid wood, dove-tail jointed, stained and lacquered cigar boxes. Extremely attractive! Excellent condition. Housed 18yr old tabacco cigars, 2 versions of Cusano brand (Dominican Republic) 1= Cusano Gordo, paired Maduros. Red cherry stain, silver-finish hinged lid, tax stamp equivalent seal attached. Measures 4-3/4"x 6-3/4"d x 3-3/4"h. The smaller is 2= Cusano Robusto Double Connecticut. Dark brown Maple stain, brass-finish hinged lid, same seal intact. Measures 4-1/2"w x 5-5/8"d x 3-3/8"h. Both have silver/gold embossed labeling and imprinting, respectively. Craftsmanship on these is some of the finest I've seen. If you were to purchase these boxes "with the cigars"....the Gordo would run $300-375.... and the Robusto would run $80-100. Obviously this auction does not include the cigars. Just the empty boxes. An incredibly rare find to add to any collection. I would also hope that anyone making purses out of these would NoT cover them with too much fluff.
