These hand blown glass twist tapers are made of black glass with white glass swirled in to create very unique patterns, no 2 look exactly the same.  Sold in pairs and measured at the largest area.  This style of taper is best for established holes and not for stretching to the next size. Purchased from Arctic Buffalo.
