I believe it's a turquoise resin. It's not chincy by any means, it's quite heavy.

Is the silver marked anywhere? Do You know the artist or any history of this pendant? It is intriguing. Are the chains silver? What type of clasp does it have? Well almost 20 questions :). Thanks. I am very curious about this. njoy

DCM- the silver is not marked, however the back story on this piece is as follows. A silversmith in Norwich, NY made this by hand and had a booth set up at local fair, where I purchased it. I added more photos of which I cleaned the piece in sterling silver cleaner and as you can see it did not tarnish. The clasp is a lobster claw. The chain is silver plated, but cleans perfectly in silver cleaner, as the last photo shows.
