this is the real deal!! depression glass in the pattern called Madrid. it was also made in green and amber (just a fancy word for yellow). But blue is rare. it cost more to make and since this was what my grandmother used to call "trash glass," it just wasn't worth it to the manufacturers. you got it free with 10 gallons of gas, or with your groceries, or on movie night with 2tickets, etc. this was made by the Federal Glass Co. between 1935-1938. it has no cracks or chips. and it is beautiful! why am i getting rid of it then?? cuz i collect pink doric. hmmm...wrong pattern...wrong colour for me...good luck!!
