The listing, Watch casing? has ended.

Up for bid is what I believe is some kind of watch casing. I don't know where I got it, but have had for a long time. It doesn't have any markings that I can see and I believe it could be made of brass because a magnet doesn't stick to it! I haven't tried to clean it for fear of hurting it although it appears that someone may have tried to earlier. In the pics, I have showed the casing closed and in the next pics, slowly opened and then closed again. It has two spring mechanisms in it that allows it to be opened. Happy bidding!

i thought it was a locket as well. http://www.etsy.com/listing/70538332/necklace-four-part-brass-locket . on that link there is a locket somewhat simmalar to yours...im going to be watching this auction

Aren't you sweet?? Thank you for researching....After you mentioned it might be brass, I held a magnet to it, and it wouldn't stick. Very much a possibility of it being a locket---it is ornate and has the top "loop" of a pocket watch on it to put on a chain..hmmm....
