This auction is for an Angelcare movement and sound monitor. I used it with both of my kids and I can't even explain how wonderful it is. This thing is amazing!! It senses every move the baby makes (including each breath) and if there are no movements for 20 seconds, the alarm will sound. My son was a winter baby and he loved being swaddled. It still worked even when he was wrapped up in a swaddle!!

This is a complete system with one parent's unit. That means you get the sensor pad for under the baby's mattress, the unit that goes in the nursery, and the portable monitor. I no longer have the box that it came in but I still have the owners manual and I highly recommend that you read it before installing this. It will tell you how to set it up along with tips on how to avoid false alarms.

Speaking from experience, I recommend that this unit only be used for infants. Once kids are old enough to roll around on the mattress, you will begin to get false alarms. You can adjust the sensitivity and volume. If you use the "tic" mode, you will hear a tic with every breath your baby takes. You can also turn off the tic and just use the lights (much quieter and you'll still get the alarm after 20 secs of no movements)!
