This is an adorable item. I'm not certain of its true purpose. It has a rubber seal, so that to me says to lock in freshness, so maybe a cookie or candy jar. But it could also be used as a large trinket keeper, maybe for silver because silver tarnishes easily when in open air, so maybe the rubber seal would keep the air out. It's a snowman head wearing red earmuffs and is wearing a red scarf with snowflakes on it. His big black hat also has a red band with snowflakes on it. Above the hat band is actually the lid.
