Gorgeous small ornamental tree that changes colors dramatically throughout the seasons!
I am NOT an expert on raising these from seed so to find the best way to grow them, be sure to go online and do a search for "growing Japanese Maple from seed"! My trees were already here when I moved in. Mine seem to prefer ALOT of water or the leaf tips dry out and curl up. These pictures are off the internet because our trees don't look as well from our recent drought.
These are a great tree to try your hand at bonsai!

i have 2 ?
1 is this a red maple
2 are the seeds fresh off the tree or dry seeds

Seeds are fresh off the tree but are already nearly totally dried out. I still have alot on the tree too green to pick off. i wait for them to be nearly dried out. These are Japanese Maple. I don't know what a red maple is. sorry.

I hope so, but it may be a month down the road, waiting for more of the seeds to dry out on the tree. For some reason, only one of my three trees produces the seeds...
