not by me~ it's from my grandmothers collection. she just gave me a few to sell yesterday. been in her drawer for years. i am selling 9 other mercurys of hers and they are no where near as nice as this one. she has had them a long time so if it was ever cleaned...it was done a long time ago. ty for asking.
don't get me wrong ,it's a beautiful dime but it's definitely been cleaned. I would still buy it but 7000 is a lil too steep for me for a mercury unless I'ts BU.
ok well ty kenny for your comment. i thought i got lucky finding a mercury so pretty but i suppose you may be right, and since it is unknown for sure, i am going to lower it to what i started the others at. have a great weekend!
Oh you were lucky finding a mercury ...It's a great coin it's just not real uncommon and valuable .I bet you if you started that Bid at like 1000 people would start bidding and you would probably end up near 2500 to 3000 maybe even up to 4000 because its a nice coin and I will start the bid if you do.
no i know how common mercurys are, i thought i found one in au condition. maybe i did, but since it is unknown to be absolutely sure....i changed starting bid. these used to close 2-4000 when i was on a year ago but i have been watching past couple weeks and now it's more 5000-10000. but i will change it again for you because i'm not a stubborn seller-lol. ty again
NP I bet the bid takes off now . Plus I'm gonna be bidding for it too so we'll get it up as high as it will go and you'll get what it's worth. Because I'm sure a lot of people like it but the price was the sticking point. I think you did the right thing.
well i thank you for that. gl! it is crazy sometimes what these silver auctions are closing at. but all my listings have always sold. people pay for what they want!
