Collection includes:

10 Orange Butterfly Milkweed Seeds (Picture #1)
10 Pink Milkweed Seeds (Picture #2)
10 Sunset Flower Milkweed Seeds (Picture #3)

In addition to being beautiful, Milkweed is a very important plant because it is a host for the beloved MONARCH butterfly. Monarch larvae feed exclusively on Milkweeds. That means if there is no Milkweed, there would be no Monarchs :( It is also an important nectar plant for bees and other insects. The common name Milkweed was given to this plant because of its milky juice. The scientific name comes from Asclepius, the Greek god of healing, because of the many folk-medicinal uses for the milkweed plants.
Milkweed is also a highly sought nectar source for many other butterfly species! Aside from attracting Monarch butterflies for egg-laying, milkweed entices swallowtails, painted ladies, American ladies, red admirals, fritillaries, and hairstreaks for nectaring.
Milkweed also draws hummingbirds and hummingbird clearwing moths to the garden for nectar.

I have bid and I am watching this. Everyone should plant milkweed in their yards. The Monarch and other butterflies are critical to the food chain. Thanks for listing. If you fan me, then I will fan you.

I am referring to listing more milkweed seed auctions. I am a Biology teacher in the Mojave desert. We rarely see butterflies. We need to do what we can to enable one of God's masterpieces to survive in the harsh world of GMOs.

Awesome! I am a Wildlife Rehabilitator and I sure know what a harsh place the world is for wildlife, What is life like in the desert? My sister-in-law lived in the desert when her husband was in the Marines, She lives in Arizona now, I can't remember where she was when her husband was in the marines, but I remember it was in the desert and she talked about the flowers blooming when it rained, It has been a while. I will list more milkweed auctions and I am going to see if I can find more colors,

The milkweed is critically needed for the remaining butterflies. The pesticides are killing them off by the thousands. Thanks for caring, I will be offering more auctions of these and different colors if I can find them.

I started getting seeds on here last year. My plants are all in bloom and I had a butterfly munching on it a few days ago. It's the first one I have seen on the plant. So exciting. Now I am addicted! I need different colors. Great auction.

I just found some yellow ones, some swamp milkweed seeds and some other pink ones. I don't expect them until the end of February, but maybe sooner,. On the lookout for more colors to offer. I am adamant about saving the butterflies. I grow butterfly bushes and the butterflies are all over them all summer, I am sitting her looking a t all the snow on the pine trees and ground and longing for spring.
