Description

The listing, 100+ Cornflower Blue Seeds has ended.

A generous 100+ seeds - skillfully harvested from my own happy flowers. Otherwise known as Bachelor's button, they are super easy to grow, and have dazzling color! Cornflowers prefer full sun, but will tolerate partial shade and grow in most zones. They're adaptable to many soils and conditions, but prefer alkaline soil with average to dry conditions. They thrive in rich garden soil, but avoid clay. These guys will grow to between 1 and 3 feet tall. Blue cornflowers are a cutting garden favorite, and they are one of the easiest flowers to dry for everlasting arrangements.
Fun fact… blue cornflowers were John F. Kennedy's favorite flower!

Happy bidding!

Absolutely! Before I planted them in my yard, I planted them in a big adobe pot-they flourished! I'd go with a few per hole- plant these seeds shallow, maybe 1/8th inch deep. Per pot, I really can't estimate. I tend to over seed myself, I don't want to steer you wrong. With 100+ seeds, you have plenty enough to see what works for you in WI. Once a few plants get growing (and they will), you'll have even More seeds!

ah! These guys actually grow taller than do wide. The get to about 1.5-2 feet tall, and not very wide at all (they have long stems, great for cuttings). Also, just correcting my mis-estimation from prev. comment- the flowers themselves more commonly bloom to around an inch wide, not 2 ;)
