This is a brand new pocket watch in silver and has a locomotive on he front. It also has the large numbers to make it easy on the eyes. This is a very pretty watch and would make a nice gift for any man on your shopping list. It is brand new however it is in need of a new battery as it has sat for a long time.

It is brand new, that is it has never been used but has been in my closed store inventory almost 4 years so will need a new battery. Thanks for asking.

No not real silver just brand new and shiny. They don't tend to tarnish though.

I really don't know. I wouldn't even know how to take the back off.. I do know some friends of mine take their watches to walmart to have batteries replaced and one takes his to radio shack because he has some kind of battery plan with them. So sorry I couldn't be helpful.
