My daughter got this computer NEW for her birthday in November. It worked great! She took excellent care of it...only used it for Facebook. It was kept in a case on a desk. One morning, we opened it and turned it on, and the power-switch light came on, and you can hear the hard-drive working, but the screen wouldn't come on. A friend told me that the monitor cable could have disconnected inside and a good repairman could fix it easy. We don't know for sure that is the problem, but everything else seems to work, the hard drive runs, it powers on, the screen just won't come on. We can't afford to have it looked at and fixed. We just lost our only source of income and I am disabled, taking care of 2 disabled children. I thought someone on here could fix it easy and make good use of it!!! It's FREE so it's not like you are losing anything. Power cord Included!

hey this computer would be easy to fix you just need a new screen or it could be that the cable disconnected inside for the screen i dont have enough credits to get it or id take it im sure itll go over 1000 credits ill have lil over 100 when this ends unless u can lower the day on it if not thats ok have fun and good luck to ev1 watching and fanned u tnx

Sounds like my sister in-laws that is the problem with that brand. You need the starter disk to reboot the whole thing. Does it have a disk drive?

This one doesn't have a disc drive. I heard that this one has this issue sometimes. I'm just glad someone can fix it. It is brand new. She only used it for about a month (in her spare time which isn't often).

Sorry, I forgot to answer the other part of that.....I don't have an external monitor to connect it to. My husband, son and I all use laptops. We tried to connect it to those, but it won't work that way. We just got error messages on our computers telling us that the "item we were connected to was not compatible" with what we were trying to do. If I knew more about computers I would keep it and try to fix it, but I would just end up making it worse! LOL
