the only reason it says extra for tracking is if I have to send it first class, when I weigh something on my postal scale and then gp on USPS shipping, put in the zip code and it tells me what shipping costs, I do not ask for handling cost which I could and still be within the rules as long as I kept it a minimum, but I do not do that...shipping is exactly as USPS says according to weight
