The listing, Robert and the Great Pepperoni Paperback has ended.
This story, a sequel to "Oh No, It's Robert," follows second-grader Robert through the daily excitements and conflicts a primary-school student encounters. This includes taking a field trip, struggling with reading comprehension, and establishing a "pet service" in which Robert feeds goldfish, walks dogs, and in general takes care of other people's pets when the people are away. This teaches Robert responsibility and coping skills. And then -- Robert is asked to not only take care of a dog, but to help train that dog so that somebody will want to adopt it. Robert has always wanted a dog, but his parents aren't ready for an animal that needs care and attention. His parents do, however, let Robert take on the dog-training job, with the understanding that he won't get to keep the dog after it's trained.
