Yes everybody this is in fact a Silver Proof Limited Edition coin minted by the US Mint which makes beautiful coins. I own a couple of their wildlife series silver proofs and they are absolutely gorgeous they are usually 90 percent silver or sterling silver they never make 999 silver except for the American Silver Eagles. This coin is a numismatic and highly collectible piece. I am sure this is going to be a pretty high bid at the end. I want it but I don't think I have enough credits. Darn! Good luck

Hi Bryan.

A silver proof has a different "die" and is struck more than once to create fine detail.

The difference between a "clad" proof and a silver proof is a clad is made by " sandwiching " different layers of metals.

Silver proofs mix the materials before minting and the edge will be silver.

The weight if a silver proof weighs slightly more than clad proof

Silver proofs are worth more than clad proofs

You can google "what is a silver proof"

Regards.
